SEATTLE – In accordance with the 2024 IPHC Fishery Regulations, Section 9 (Commercial Fishing Periods), commercial fishing for Pacific halibut in all IPHC Regulatory Areas may begin no earlier in the year than 06:00 local time on 15 March.
The fishery is now open in all IPHC Regulatory Areas besides Regulatory Area 2A, where commercial fishing periods will be announced by NOAA Fisheries and published in the Federal Register.
