SEATTLE – The commercial fishing period for Pacific halibut commences Saturday 6 March 2021 at 1200h local time.
The following fisheries will open on this date:
- the Canadian Individual Vessel Quota (IVQ) fishery in IPHC Regulatory Area 2B;
- the U.S.A. Individual Fishing Quota (IFQ) and Community Development Quota (CDQ) fisheries in IPHC Regulatory Areas 2C, 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B and 4CDE.
- the tribal fisheries in IPHC Regulatory Area 2A.
