The IPHC partners with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to collect Pacific halibut data during their groundfish bottom trawl surveys conducted in the summer months. The Bering Sea is surveyed annually and both the Gulf of Alaska and Aleutian Islands are surveyed biennially.
