SEATTLE – The International Pacific Halibut Commission (IPHC) will be implementing a Fishery-Independent Setline Survey (FISS) design in 2024 that will involve sampling across three (3) of the four (4) bioregions, and in five (5) of the eight (8) IPHC Regulatory Areas. In total, we intend on sampling 525 stations in 2024, with the first hooks expected to hit the water on 25 May 2024. Below are the charter area specifics for 2024:

The IPHC Secretariat is in the process of finalising vessel assignments, staffing, and deployment plans, and will notify relevant parties in due course.
