IPHC Media Release 2020-028 IPHC Fishery Regulations (2020) Updated

17 September 2020

SEATTLE – The International Pacific Halibut Commission (IPHC) held a Special Session on 17 September 2020 via webinar, resulting in regulatory changes to fishing period dates for the directed commercial fishery in the waters of Canada.

In accordance with the IPHC Convention, the fishery regulations approved by the IPHC will be recommended to the Contracting Parties for implementation according to their domestic law and regulation.

Please note, current IPHC Fishery Regulations supersede all previous regulations of the Commission, and shall be effective each succeeding year until superseded.
